An opportunity has arisen for a deputy editor to join the team full-time on PSNEurope, the leading monthly pro-audio B2B title, based in London.
The successful candidate will be working across all our platforms: print, online and social media. The role’s day-to-day responsibilities will be split between strategy/editorial fulfillment and supporting the commercial team.
A university degree in journalism and knowledge of media law would be useful. Experience working at a major media organisation is also an advantage.
We are also looking for a team player with good communication skills, who is self-motivated and determined to drive ideas. Knowledge of DTP (InDesign and Photoshop) and familiarity with CMS packages, including WordPress, is essential. The candidate should also have experience in technical journalism and working in trade magazines, as well as writing news and features about audio technology. A full contact book from the pro audio industry is also essential. Experience in running social media accounts, including Facebook and Twitter, is necessary. The ability to work to tight deadlines and multi-task is key to the role and the candidate must be able to demonstrate their experience in this area.
Duties include writing and developing original content, management of daily and weekly newsletters, management of the PSNEurope’s website and social media accounts, subbing and proofing of pages, some layout work and representing the brand to the wider professional audio industry at trade events, which will require some travel.
Competitive salary up to £27k.
