Audinate and Bose Pro to launch AV Networking Roadshow next week

Introduction to AV Networking will examine "current state of audio networking and control for AV systems, emerging technologies and trends in AV networking"

Audinate and Bose Professional will launch the AV Networking Roadshow, a new series of training events focussing on Audinate’s Dante audio-over-IP networking technology, at InfoComm MEA in Dubai. The first one-day sessions, entitled ‘Introduction to AV Networking’, will run on 15 and 16 October from 11am to 5pm, with support from Atterotech and Digital Audio Labs.

Intended for AV (and IT) professionals who have “a novice or intermediate understanding of AV networking”, the sessions will discuss “the current state of audio networking and control for AV systems, emerging technologies and trends in AV networking”. The instructor-led training will use a variety of components from Bose and other participating manufacturers, and provides an opportunity to learn audio networking theory, design and implementation through interactive, hands-on sessions using Dante technology.

Presenters include Kieran Walsh, senior technical solutions manager at Audinate, and Biju Abdul Majeed, design engineer, for Bose. The sessions are eligible for InfoComm RU credits.

Darryl Bryans, product line manager, DSP, at Bose Professional, explains: “The AV Networking Roadshow is a great way to quickly come up to speed on the latest information regarding audio networking and to get some hands-on experience using Dante audio networking technology and a variety of products. We’re pleased to be working together with Audinate and the other participating manufacturers to offer these sessions in Dubai and beyond. By the end of the day, participants should be able to confidently implement and install a Dante-enabled system.”

“As the market leader in media networking, Audinate believes that one of the ways people can fully appreciate just how easy Dante is to install, integrate and use is to support our OEM partners in educating their customers,” adds Ervin Grinberg, director of marketing for Audinate. “Dante is the most requested networking technology, and we are pleased to showcase the benefits regionally to present this hands-on, comprehensive, well-thought-out programme.”

Each day’s session, which includes lunch, is limited to 50 attendees, and can be enrolled on when registering for the show. Future AV Networking Roadshow events are being scheduled for Germany, Britain, Japan and the US (New York City, Los Angeles and Chicago).

InfoComm MEA will take place from 13–16 October at the Dubai World Trade Centre, UAE.
