Yamaha Music Europe Ibérica has announced a series of free day-long training sessions throughout February and March for its CL and QL series of digital mixing consoles.
Aimed at Iberian audio professionals with a good knowledge of digital sound, participants will given the opportunity to practice on the consoles while procedures are explained step by step. Although a free series of events, attendee numbers will be limited to ensure that "everyone enjoys high-quality hands-on time with the consoles".
Topics covered include an overview of the CL- and QL-series consoles; the initial setup of a system; using two consoles (FOH and monitors; working with gain compensation; live multitrack recording (with Nuendo Live); advanced scene and memory management; and getting started with Dante networks. Each attendee will receive a YCATS (Yamaha Commercial Audio Training Seminar) Diploma certificate of the skills acquired during the day.
The seminars began in Madrid on 11 February and continue to Barcelona tomorrow (26 February), Valencia on 3 March, Malaga on 5 March, Lisbon on 10 March and Merida on 12 March. Each course lasts from 10.00–18.00.
