d&b audiotechnik GB is for the first time in the UK offering an open invitation to its Sound System Optimisation seminar. Each seminar runs for two days at d&b GB in Nailworth and invites participants on "a journey through the theory and practice of acoustic measuring, adjusting and fine tuning".
Attendees should have a good understanding of sound system design, setup and tuning, along with a confident understanding of basic electroacoustic principles, in order to take full advantage of the seminar. It is a practical course that guides participants through the precise process of measuring and adjusting a sound system: "Beginning with a good sound design and making it better. Starting with good and ending with great."
d&b says participants are expected to "be proactive in their approach to the sessions", which are led by its Education & Application Support (EAS) team under the direction of "the doughty Oran Burns", adding: "Cooperation and positive interaction is required in order to fully access the seminar content, so be prepared to get involved and be hands-on."
Each seminar is only accepting eight applicants, so interested parties are encouraged to apply promptly. The Sound System Optimisation seminars will be held on 12–13 November and 18–19 November. Lunch, dinner and all refreshments will be provided.
