Sound and Original Score nominees for The Oscars 2020

Last year's winner for both Sound Mixing and Editing was Bohemian Rhapsody

As The Oscars nominations are being rolled out, we curated a list of the sound editing, mixing and original score nominees for 2020’s Awards ceremony. The Sound nominees differ slightly from the BAFTA’s list, adding in Once upon a Time… in Hollywood, Ford v Ferrari and Ad Astra. While the Original Score nominees remain largely the same, Jojo Rabbit has been replaced with Marriage Story. Last year’s winner for both the Sound Editing and Sound Mixing category was Bohemian Rhapsody and the sound teams behind it, after which we interviewed sound editor Nina Hartstone and Queen’s long-time co-producer Justin Shirley Smith about their experiences working on the film. The Original Score award went to Black Panther and composer Ludwig Goranssen.
