Audio software developer Synchro Arts has announced the immediate availability of Revoice Pro 3, a major upgrade to its flagship timing/pitch-alignment program.
Revoice Pro 3 (pictured), compatible with “all popular DAWs”, including Logic Pro X, Cubase, Nuendo and Pro Tools, launches with “a host of improvements and major new features”, including warp function for manual adjustment of audio timing and pitch and “the most natural- and transparent-sounding processing available”. Integration with DAWs is also now “faster and easier than ever”, says Synchro Arts, “using the simple Revoice Pro Link plug-ins or fast and familiar drag-and-drop or copy-and-paste operations”.
At the core of Revoice Pro is Epsom, UK-based Synchro Arts’ automatic performance transfer (APT) process and doubler function, the former of which can give one signal the timing, pitch, vibrato and level features of another signal. “These, along with the added warp process, mean there is now a one-stop, time-saving, high-quality solution for creative and corrective audio manipulation tasks,” says the company.
Revoice Pro, created by Jeff Bloom, was originally developed as a means of automatically aligning dialogue during ADR (additional dialogue recording) in film post-production (see Revoice Pro: pitching technology for ADR and Staying in the loop for ADR), but has latterly also been applied to music production. Users include producers Chris Garcia (Lana Del Rey, Katy Perry, Santana), Val Garay (Martin Gaye, Elton John), Francesco Cameli (Genesis, Muse, Adele) and Renée Tondelli (dialogue and ADR editor on American Hustle and Django Unchained).
