HOLLAND: Sennheiser, ADAM Professional Audio, Junger Audio, MAYAH and Neutrik are among the companies set to provide IBC2007 with a dynamic pro-audio presence. The annual broadcasting and media technology exhibition will take place at the RAI, Amsterdam, between September 7th and 11th, writes David Davies.
New products on the Sennheiser stand will include the latest addition to the 3000 Series, the EM 3732 twin receiver. Featuring a 90 MHz switching bandwidth, the twin receiver is said to provide “amazing flexibility within the UHF spectrum while maintaining maximum selectivity”. The unit features six user-selectable fixed frequency banks and one user bank, with up to 60 channels that can be programmed in increments of 5 kHz. Within a frequency bank the EM 3732 automatically searches for free frequencies.
Products under the spotlight on the ADAM Professional Audio stand will include the S7A Mk2 Main Monitor, which brings together the company’s proprietary transducer technology, a modern PWM amplifier design, a sophisticated control panel and a d’Appolito speaker alignment. The specification includes onboard power of 1500W, two 15-inch subwoofers, two 9-inch HexaCone midwoofers, two ART mid-range units and one ART tweeter.
Junger Audio, meanwhile, will be showing the complete family of Level Magic products. Level Magic relies on a sophisticated adaptive level control algorithm that, says Junger Audio, is capable of adjusting the right audio level from any source at any time. The company has also chosen IBC to roll-out its new range of SDI interfaces with included audio DSP for the C8000 modular system.
On the MAYAH stand, showcased products will include Sporty (a new portable recorder codec for audio transmissions over IP/WLAN/UMTS/ISDN/PSTN, with audio logging possibility) and potable audio recorder and codec Flashman II.
Other manufacturers drawing attention to new or recent launches include Neutrik, with a CAT6 addition to its EtherCon professional connector series; and Spinner, which will show a 24V DC-controlled two-way plug-in switch with axial connection for broadcasting.
