Marking the 20th anniversary of its founding, PMC is extending the warranty on all its passive loudspeakers from this month.

The extension from five to 20 years, says PMC, ‘reflects the confidence that the company has in its design, build and testing procedures.

The new warranty will be backdated to 1 January 2011 for all purchases of passive loudspeakers, providing they have been registered with PMC.

Designing and assembling all its loudspeakers in its own facility in Luton enables the company to keep a tight control on its quality procedures. Every single component is rigorously tested before being passed for use in the products. Resistors, capacitors, inductors and other crossover components are all individually measured, graded and sorted to ensure absolute component value and performance matching. Each drive unit is also tested and matched before use. Records are kept for each and every pair of speakers built to ensure that in the (rare) event of replacement parts being required, an identical component can be supplied.
