British-based manufacturer DiGiCo will be previewing its new D2-Rack at Prolight + Sound this week. The company will also be announcing a number of new software features and an expansion of a third party development project.

The new product, showcased at ISE in Amsterdam in February, is designed to support and expand DiGiCo’s SD Range’s higher sample rate I/O solutions. The D2-Rack comes with either BNC or CAT5 MADI connections, allowing it to be used with a number of DiGiCo consoles.

DiGiCo managing director, James Gordon says: “The D2-Rack means we are able to open up the full 96kHz potential of the SD8, SD9 and SD11 with this next generation of I/O conversion is an impressive upgrade.”

“The D2-Rack allows users to get unrivaled audio quality at a total system latency of just over 1ms. It was very well received at ISE and we’re anticipating even higher level of interest at ProLight+Sound,” adds Gordon.

The D2-Rack is available for use with both SD8 and SD9 systems.
