Console manufacturer, Audient, has appointed Chris Wright as the new UK market manager this week. After a successful stint in the IT industry, Wright brings a host of transferrable skills with him back to professional audio. He has years of freelance audio consultancy and monitor engineering experience, which along with his first class degree in Sound Engineering and Production continue to fuel his “primary focus and passion”, he says. Wright asserts that “Audient has a fantastic audio heritage, with the sale of well over 500 ASP8024 consoles over the last 17 years being a solid testament to that.”
Now at the forefront of sales and support in the UK, Wright comments :“The latest products still maintain that outstanding build and sound quality, and I am delighted to be working with Audient at such a progressive time.”
Audient’s newly promoted Andy Allen (to marketing manager), also anticipates the development of the company, stating: “Audient’s new generation of compact products… embraces innovation, and heralds new and exciting times for the company.”
Audient has also disclosed that Gareth Williams and Luke Baldry are no longer with the company; former sales and marketing director Baldry is now European channel sales manager for California-based plug-in developer Universal Audio.
