NAMM 2014: Harman updates VTX and Si Performer lines

Harman updates its VTX Series line arrays and introduces the Si Performer 1 digital console.

Adding to its VTX Series line arrays, Harman’s JBL Professional is introducing the VTX V20 dual 10-inch line array loudspeaker and VTX S25 cardioid-arrayable dual 15-inch subwoofer. “In its short history, the VTX Series has already proven to be the world’s highest-performing line array system, as evidenced by its rapid worldwide adoption and deployment on some of the world’s most successful tours and in some of the world’s most prestigious venues, not to mention numerous industry awards,” said Paul Bauman, associate director, tour sound, JBL Professional.

Bauman concluded “The new V20 and S25 deliver the same level of performance that is characteristic of the VTX Series while adding even more flexibility due to their compact form factors.” Harman’s Soundcraft will also be adding a new product to its range in the form of the Si Performer 1 digital console, which the company claims to be “the most compact Si Performer console to date.” The new console has an input capacity of 80 audio inputs to mix as well as 16 mic pre amps and 16 faders. It has 4-band EQ as standard on all input channels, and BSS graphic EQs on all bus outputs. Filters, gates, compressors and delays are standard on all inputs and compressors and delays on all outputs, which when calculated deliver the equivalent of over 448 rack units of processing power.
