Leckie, Haver for Producer Masterclasses

The free-to-attend Producer Masterclasses are to take place at the British Music Experience, which is a permanent, interactive music exhibition located within the O2 complex in London.

John Leckie will pass on some of the lessons from his 40-year studio career in a session at the British Music Experience this Thursday (17 June). John Lennon, George Harrison, Syd Barrett, Pink Floyd, Radiohead, The Stone Roses, XTC/Dukes of Stratosphear and Muse are among the numerous acts to have benefited from the expertise of producer/engineer John Leckie.

Paul Lilley, curator of the British Music Experience, said: "We are delighted to announce the Producer Masterclass with John Leckie at the British Music Experience. His work on two of the most important albums of the last 25 years - the Stone Roses' debut album, often cited as the best debut, and Radiohead's The Bends - establishes him as one of the most respected in his field. The evening will be a fantastic opportunity for both aspiring producers and music fans."

In a further instalment of the Producer Masterclass series - to take place at 7.30pm on Thursday 8 July - Greg Haver will discuss his studio career and techniques, and participate in an audience Q&A. Also active as a percussionist, producer/engineer Haver has worked extensively with acts including Super Furry Animals, Catatonia and Manic Street Preachers.

Lilley remarked: "We are thrilled to be hosting the masterclass with Greg Haver at the British Music Experience. The event will follow on from previous successful sessions as part of our Producer Masterclass Series and will provide an insight for both fans of Greg and the artists he was worked with."

Anvil producer to hold hit masterclasses
