Jimmy Page has announced the release of the Sundragon amp, created in the image of the Supro Coronado amp used on Led Zeppelin 1, the single ‘Stairway to Heaven’, and Joe Cocker's With a Little Help From My Friends.

It is launching this year to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Led Zeppelin 1, and comes just in time for NAMM 2019, where Page will be a topic of discussion as a result of the Jimmy Page X Fender project being launched at the show. Page has collaborated with Mitch Colby and Perry Margouleff to remodel the original amp, which was repaired and heavily modified after falling out of the band's van on an early tour, to the tee.

Page elaborated: “I had been impressed with the forensic analysis both Mitch and Perry had put into the research of the sonic reproduction of the original Supro amp to arrive at the Sundragon”.

There will only be a limited edition release of 50 of these hand built amps, made throughout 2019, and all of them signed by Page himself. However, a standard run of the amps will be produced after the limited edition launch.
