Gus Dudgeon summer course starts this week

10 GDF/JAMES alumni will cut their teeth on kit supplied by PMI Audio, sE Electronics, Source Distribution, Unity Audio and Solid State Logic.

The Gus Dudgeon Foundation (GDF)/Joint Audio Media Education Support (JAMES) postgraduate summer course kicks off today (13 July) at the ATRiuM building at the Cardiff Campus of the University of South Wales.

10 students graduating from JAMES-accredited music technology/production and sounds courses from the around the UK, including alumni of Anglia Ruskin, Bournemouth, Derby, Leeds Metropolitan and South Wales universities, will be actively involved as assistant engineers in recording sessions, using the vintage MCI JH-500 series mixing desk formerly owned by Gus Dudgeon alongside a Pro Tools recording system.

Record producer/mixer Romesh Dodangoda (pictured) is leading the course, producing XFM unsigned artist of the week Caesars Rome.
