GERMANY: The usual cluster of major business deals announced prior to and during the annual ProLight+Sound Expo brings the news that OHM is to formally launch a new European operation. Meanwhile, eminent professional audio manfacturers set to showcase new or recent products in Frankfurt from March 15th to 18th include Kling & Freitag and MC² Audio, writes David Davies.

The new OHM operation, OHM Europe, will be based in Nuremberg and headed up by Daniel Danzer and Sebastian Kamm. According to OHM, it will complete the company's Northern European coverage in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

"This is a great opportunity for us to be further involved with OHM," said Danzer. "We have sold, used and installed OHM for over 12 years, and our first-hand experience of the products will be invaluable to OHM customers throughout the industry."

"We have enjoyed a great deal of success with our OHM companies in China, India and Poland," added managing director Jo Olenski. "The addition of OHM Europe will continue to strengthen our position as a world-class producer of sound products."

Meanwhile, major product launches at the show are set to include Kling & Freitag's first line array system, and the latest addition to MC² Audio's T series amplifier range, the T3500.
