Focusrite is offering interested audio professionals the opportunity to experience the benefits offered by its new Ethernet-based recording system – as RedNet goes on the road throughout Europe. Visitors can experience for themselves how RedNet can change studios by seeing it in action, questioning the experts and finding out more. Launched in 2011, RedNet “underwent the most rigorous testing regime we've ever implemented at Focusrite, spending over 18 months in test” before it began shipping in January, said marketing director Giles Orford at this year’s NAMM Show. Focusrite’s RedNet is the first system to offer IP networked audio interfaces for the recording studio – based on the Dante Ethernet-based audio network system developed by Audinate. Over the coming weeks, RedNet will be on tour in Belgium and the Netherlands before heading to America for this year’s InfoComm show.
