Cinema Audio Society reveals nominees for the annual CAS awards

The Cinema Audio Society has announced the nominees for the 55th annual CAS Awards, selecting talent in sound mixing for 2018 from seven categories, as well as outstanding product nominations.

A Star is Born has now been nominated by every guild and industry group, including the Producers Guild, Screen Actors Guild, Writers Guild, Art Directors Guild, American Society of Cinematographers, American Cinema Editors, Casting Society of America and Cinema Audio Society.

Final balloting will open online Thursday, January 24 and end Wednesday, February 6 at 5 p.m. The awards will be presented at a sealed envelope dinner on February 16 at the Wilshire Grand Ballroom of the InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown.

“It is always my distinct pleasure to congratulate our colleagues on their stellar work,” said CAS President Mark Ulano. “This year the creativity of our community is front and centre with exceptional projects that represent the finest in sound mixing for 2018.”

MPG Awards 2011 shortlist revealed
