Avid has announced plans for “a three-day celebration of the music community that creates, produces, performs and distributes its music with Avid creative tools and solutions” that will take place in Nashville during the Summer NAMM show.
Avid Connect Live Nashville, scheduled for July 18-20 in Nashville, kicks off with the Welcome & Spotlight Session on July 18 at 11 am CDT at Belmont University’s Johnson Center, with an array of musicians and music producers discussing their craft, the tools they use and the trends driving music creation, as well as showcasing Avid’s latest audio products and innovations. The event will be hosted by Greg “Stryke” Chin, Avid’s audio product evangelist and a Miami-based recording artist, producer and DJ.
Avid has additionally lined up two days of free training classes for attendees, with topics covering studio session recording techniques, live recording technology for gigs, recording a demo and going from sketch to song. There will also be breakout panel discussions on Dolby Atmos, music creation, audio engineering, audio mixing and music production.
According to Dana Ruzicka, chief product officer and senior vice president for Avid, “[W]e’ll be rolling out some really cool new products to give music creators and audio professionals even more power to bring their ideas to life”.
Avid Connect Live Nashville will be streaming live on the Avid Link app, avid.com and Avid social media channels.
