New active speaker range

What is it?
A range of active speakers designed for sound reinforcement applications.

Said to offer a combination of advanced digital sound processing and the latest acoustic technologies for Integral Digital Tuning, the DSR Series includes Yamaha Pro Audio’s new D-Contour multi-band processing for intelligent dynamic control plus 24-bit discrete ADCs and DACs for maximum dynamic range. Incorporating Class-D amplifiers with PFC switch-mode power supplies, DSR speakers are continuously monitored using “extensive” DSP protection circuitry. The design incorporates Yamaha’s FIR-X tuning technology - said to offer the smoothest possible crossover transitions – and LTBD (Long Throw, Broad Dispersion) constant directivity waveguide horns providing 90° × 60° coverage. Capable of 1300W (LF850W, HF450W) and 800W (DSR118W) power output, the enclosures are both stand and pole mountable and include M10 rigging points (DSR112, DRS115). The DSR112 model can also be tilted for use as a floor monitor.
