London-based electronic outfit Rudimental recently completed an extensive UK tour, with monitor engineer Gary Curtis (pictured) employing an Allen & Heath GLD mixing system to look after the band’s on-stage needs. The combination of the GLD’s small footprint and flexibility has made it in the ideal partner for Rudimental’s live shows, Curtis explained: “The GLD has worked out perfectly for us,” he said, “it’s extremely easy to use, but really powerful at the same time. It sounds great and the on-board effect section is fantastic. There’s a lot going on on-stage with this band, but the GLD has coped with it all and the guys are happy, which is obviously my priority at each show.” www.allen-heath.com
