What is it?

A I/O module for Riedel's RockNet 100 digital snake system.

The RN.102.IO offers easy integration of analogue mixing consoles into the audio network or can be set up for a simple redundant multicore connection. It provides 16 output channels and 8 line/microphone input (with 48V phantom power) on XLR connectors using circuitry said to maximise audio quality. The RockNet system provides up to 80 digital audio channels over a single counter-rotating CAT-5 ring and can be set up within minutes without a computer. With a user interface designed for 'real-world' live sound applications, the system is auto-addressing and can be easily configured via the front panel or through Riedel's RockWorks software. RockNet 100 modules can also be seamlessly integrated into any RockNet 300 installation.

Riedel celebrating MediorNet success

GERMANY: Riedel Communications debuted the new signal transport solution at the NAB exhibition in April, reports David Davies. The new system combines signal transport, routing and signal processing, and conversion into one integrated real-time network. It is designed for both simple point-to-point connections and specification in a network that includes signal routing.
