Fast deployment line array

What is it?An active arcuate line array system designed for fast deployment across a wide range of range of live and installed applications. DetailsWith its simple “lift, click and play” design, the KLA system is said to be installed much more quickly than comparable line arrays. The range currently comprises two models: the KLA12 12”, 2-way speaker and the KLA181 18” subwoofer. The former is powered by an efficient 500W + 500W built-in amp while the KLA181 uses a similar module in a 1,000W configuration. This enables up to five KLA models (any combination of KLA12 and KLA181) to be driven from a single 15amp, 120V mains supply. The design includes an Auto Standby mode which automatically engages after five minutes of inactivity but upon resumption of audio signal will awaken instantly for immediate output. KLA loudspeakers incorporate QSC's DEEP DSP algorithm - said to offer extended bass response by actively managing potentially damaging low-frequency transients - and GuardRail circuitry protection which prevents the amplifier module from unnatural and destructive clipping. For maximum flexibility, KLA loudspeakers can be either ground deployed or flown. As a ground stack, up to two KLA12 enclosures can be mounted over the KLA181 or the KW181 subwoofer via a threaded pole socket, or without a sub using an appropriately rated loudspeaker stand.

Groundbreaking QSC system at ISE

Shown at The NAMM Show earlier this month, QSC’s new fixed arcuate, active line array system, the KLA Series, will also be on display at ISE 2011, which takes place at the Amsterdam RAI next month.
