PL+S 2015: First products from McCarthy & Grayland venture NST

Former MC2 and XTA veterans show new lines in Germany

NST Audio will make its debut as an exhibitor at Prolight + Sound 2015.

The company, which revealed itself at last year’s Frankfurt show, will demonstrate the NST D48 4-in/8-out DSP, alongside an OEM partner, which will be showing NST integrated DSP solutions in its 4-channel power amplifier and 2-channel back-pack amplifier, all operating together over the NST Ethernet network.

NST Audio managing director, Ian McCarthy (pictured second from left in the NST Audio team), says: “We have been incredibly busy over the past 12 months completing and testing the products. Our aim at Frankfurt is, not only to show what we now have to offer but also to raise our profile and increase the already growing interest in NST. This is an exciting next step for us and we all look forward to developing the project further in the coming [year].”

NST was created by former MC2 Audio boss McCarthy, returning to the industry after an absence of three years, working alongside audio software and design engineer, Dan Cartman (left), and XTA founder Andrew Grayland (right). The company plans to develop OEM and licensed DSP-based software and hardware.

“We want to offer something that other people don’t,” McCarthy told PSNEurope in March 2014.
