What is it?A pair of digital condenser microphones offering “more robust” operation for live applications. DetailsDesigned as digital versions of Neumann KMS 104 and KMS 105 vocal condensers, the new models retain the core features of the original mic’s with their cardioid and super-cardioid response patterns. Employing Neumann’s Solution-D digital microphone technology, the mic’s offer an extended 125dB dynamic range and include integrated peak limiters to prevent clipping. Use of one of the company’s digital microphone interfaces together with its Remote Control Software (RCS) allows pre-programmed settings to be stored in the mic itself. Said to be capable of handling high SPLs, both the KMS 104D and KMS 105D are designed for close-proximity vocal and speech applications, producing low (16dB-A) self-noise and incorporating built-in, high-pass (-3dB @ 80Hz) filters.
