ETASound, Total Sound Solutions and A1 Entertainments each placed an order for a Nexo line array system during PLASA 2010.
ETASound, which is based in North Wales but also has a London office at the O2 Arena, is to take delivery of 16x Nexo D10 modules, with an option to buy the same again. The company’s fonder Eddie Thomas also recently purchased one of the first consignments of the new RS18 sub, and has just ordered more cabinets for ETASound’s inventory.
Meanwhile, Swansea’s Total Sound Solutions and Bristol’s A1 Entertainments are purchasing near-identical GEO S12 systems, comprising S1210 and S1230 line array modules, RS18 subs and NXAMP4x4 controller-amplifiers.
“One of the main attractions is the versatility of the S12,” commented Gareth Collyer from Nexo UK. “TSS and A1 can configure two complete systems out of their stock, or run one larger rig for up to 5,000 people outdoors.”
Total Sound Solutions’ Chris Hooke (pictured, left, with Collyer) said that GEO “definitely has the wow factor for high-profile events” and expects to have paid for the S12 inventory within a year. Taking delivery at the end of October, the new system’s first project will be a major fireworks display in South Wales.
