Exhibition and conference organiser Informa has announced Live Production Network (LPN) – a new conference and exhibition for the live production industry taking place 28-30 April 2013 at The O2 Arena, alongside PALME Europe. Tickets to the event will be free of charge, and LPN has stated that both exhibitors and presenters will be selected via invitation, though specific details have yet to be announced.

PSNEurope was keen to discover what Live Production Network is offering, in light of the continued presence of established events such as PLASA. In a statement issued ahead of the appointment of an event director, LPN said: "The ethos of Live Production Network is to engage people through relevant content and bring the live event production industry together under one roof. The conference programme will be a major focus of the event and the thought leadership elements will set it apart from any other event in the industry so far. PALME Europe will champion entertainment technology to encompass venue installation, while the demonstration feature areas will include a blackout lighting arena and outdoor space for stages and temporary structures."

“We’ve responded to positive feedback from exhibitors and visitors and expanded into the lower hall to provide more space for stands and to improve visitor circulation,” says the ABTT Theatre Show administrator. The new layout also creates interlinked halls to provide visitors with a circular route around the whole show.
