Waves Audio has added live console functionality to Version 9 (V9) of its range of audio plugins. V9 can now be used in live sound situations with Yamaha, Allen & Heath, DiGiCo, VENUE and MultiRack Native consoles and platforms. New features for live use include 64-bit support and hard drive or USB flash drive activation for Yamaha, VENUE and Allen & Heath consoles as well as MultiRack Native. “We are pleased to be working with Waves to ensure full compatibility of our products with their latest software release, which boasts a host of new features,” said Allen & Heath product specialist, Nicola Beretta. “With the growing number of adopters of Waves’s SoundGrid technology, our customers can be sure that V9 is supported from day one of the release on iLive and GLD systems fitted with the M-Waves card.” Also eliminated in V9 is the need for a D-Show enabler with Avid’s VENUE consoles: "Avid is excited to support Waves V9 for our live sound customers. VENUE was the first live console to run Waves plug-ins, and continues to offer the easiest, most integrated and lowest latency plug-in solution on the market," said Sheldon Radford, senior product manager, VENUE, at Avid. www.allen-heath.com
