Leading audio visual specialist QAV has added an L-Acoustics Kiva Kilo line array system to its rental department stock. The system was supplied by Stage Electrics. Director and co-founder of QAV, Ed Noble, says the Kiva Kilo purchase marks another step in QAV’s growth, and that it enables the company to service a broader range of clients. “We were looking for a modular line source system capable of handling larger corporate events,” he explains. “The fact that Kiva Kilo is modular means we can use the system in a wide range of event situations.” The L-Acoustics system was chosen after trialling several similar line array products and Noble says QAV was particularly impressed with the overall quality of the Kiva Kilo system, noting its clarity of sound and quick efficient rigging system as main highlights. The Cambridgeshire-based company primarily supplies the corporate events and conferences market worldwide, with audiences ranging from 100 to 2000 attendees. QAV’s technical and design teams have been working in the audio visual arena for over 10 years and its multi-media division has seen an unprecedented increase in demand to deliver new and social media applications, both offline and online. “We have seen an increased request for larger scale shows with more demanding audio requirements,” Noble continues. “We wanted a robust product that could stand up to day-to-day production experiences.” www.l-acoustics.com
