JBL’s UK distributor Sound Technology Ltd will host the first certified VTX line array training course outside America this September at their new pro-audio demo facility which opened in July. The two day course will be lead by Harman's European tour sound manager and FOH engineer Gert Sanner (Deep Purple).

Recently, Lenny Kravitz switched to a JBL VTX system just before the start of his European tour, and this is an artist who – as it turns out – cares deeply about his PA. Check out the online digital edition for the full story. The Certified course includes training on the VTX speaker elements, VTX suspension and handling, BSS Omnidrive HD DSP and presets, Crown iTech HD amplification, VTX Control via JBL HiQnet Performance Manager, VTX modelling including line array theory and calculations, and hands on practical use and preset listening utilising our in-house JBL VTX array and Crown iTech HD V-Racks. A full course outline is available on the Sound Technology website, as well as registration and hotel suggestions. The cost for the two-day training is £125 (€158) ex VAT. www.jblpro.comwww.soundtech.co.uk
