Award-winning multi-platinum artist Khalid is the latest musician to join the JBL team, being named a JBL global brand ambassador.

As a part of this new partnership, Khalid will also headline the upcoming JBL Fest this October in Las Vegas. The partnership comes shortly after his latest release ‘Free Spirit,’ which launched earlier this month and debuted at number 1 on the Billboard Top 200.

“I’m constantly looking for ways to connect with my fans and elevate how they experience my music,” offered Khalid. “Partnering with JBL and headlining JBL Fest gives me a perfect way to do that – and with my new album out, it’s the right time. I’ve always loved JBL sound – whether pumping through an arena or in my headphones – so teaming up with JBL was an organic move for me.”

“Khalid captures the energy of JBL,” said Ralph Santana, chief marketing officer at Harman. “He’s an absolute original and knows how to connect to his fans through outstanding lyricism and his unmistakable delivery. He’ll electrify the crowd at JBL Fest, and we are excited to get started on a partnership that will be full of elevated experiences for Khalid fans.”

Khalid is joining a star-studded lineup of JBL ambassadors and partners from music, sports, and entertainment industries including Demi Lovato; actress and humanitarian Priyanka Chopra; the most nominated musician and producer in Grammys history Quincy Jones; pianist and philanthropist Lang Lang; Indian music mogul A.R. Rahman; DJ and producer Armin van Buuren; three-time NBA Champion and two-time MVP, Stephen Curry; NBA stars Giannis Antetokounmpo and Andre Drummond; 2017 American League Rookie of the Year and MLB star Aaron Judge; and soccer star Jerome Boateng, among others. In addition to partnering with these global icons, JBL is the official sound partner of the Grammys.
