What is it?A pair of floor monitors featuring two-way, bass reflex and dual-angle enclosure designs said to be ideal for both portable and fixed sound reinforcement applications.DetailsThe latest additions to Grund’s GT Series floor monitor product group, the GT-1220M and GT-1520M offer 450W power handling designed for near-field applications where smooth, dynamic range is required. With enhanced power handling characteristics, the monitors are capable of high output for a full stage mix of vocals, drums, keyboards, guitars and bass and are said to be well-suited to both side-fill and delay monitoring applications. Boasting wide-range dispersion characteristics, both the GT-1220M and GT-1520M models ship with pole cups integrated into the enclosures for general-purpose PA system applications. The GT-1220M incorporates a high-excursion, low-frequency transducer mated with a 2” compression driver coupled to a controlled-pattern HF horn. The larger GT-1520M floor monitor includes a 15” high excursion transducer matched with a 2” compression driver/horn combination. Both the GT-1220M and GT-1520M floor monitors feature 40º horizontal and 80º vertical dispersion patterns. Frequency response for both models is quoted at 50Hz – 18kHz. With their dual angle enclosure design, the GT-1220M and GT-1520M make it easy to position the loudspeakers for maximum on-stage effectiveness while maintaining a low profile for a clean stage presence. And another thing…Both the GT-1220M and GT-1520M floor monitor systems are two-way, bass reflex designs constructed with multi-ply Baltic Birch, heavily braced for rigidity. The enclosures are available in three standard finishes: black, white, or natural.
