Gaz Coombes tours with iLive and ME

Supergrass front man showcases new solo material with the help of Allen & Heath iLive and ME.

Supergrass front man, Gaz Coombes has just completed a tour of the UK. He showcased new solo material in churches around the country.
An iLive modular system, including an iLive-80 Control Surface and iDR10 MixRack was used to manage FOH with iLive apps and PL controllers for added remote control.

“Apart from being a very well designed piece of kit, iLive is also extremely compact, with a footprint of around 1sqm so you can slot it into virtually any situation, even if you're going to a small venue that already has its own in-house stuff,” says engineer, Gavin McComb. “As a system, the audio quality is fantastic, all the internal effects are very easy to use and sound great, whether it's a small, medium or large-sized venue.”
Allen & Heath ME-1 personal mini mixers were installed on stage so that the band could mange their own monitor feeds. These were networked through the ME-U hub.
McComb explains: “When I introduced A&H’s new ME personal monitor mixers to the band and showed them the capability of having access to every audio line at FOH and control over their own mixes, they were thrilled. There's not a lot of confusing information on the screen, and it's very simple to use – the band love it!”

Belfast PA company, Wackiki, deployed its Allen & Heath GLD digital mixing system on the recent Arenacross UK tour, showcasing an international line-up of pro racers and freestyle motocross experts.

iLive in control at BBL festival

Allen & Heath iLive digital mixers were deployed on all of the main stages at this year’s Beach Break Live festival in Pembrey, South Wales. The production company for the event was SPS Audio.
