Former VMB staff launch Lynx Pro Audio

Four former members of VMB have joined forces to create a brand new company Lynx Pro Audio, writes David Davies

There is a new addition to the Spanish pro-audio firmament this month with news that four staff members from Valencia headuartered VMB have ventured out on their own to create Lynx Pro Audio. The new operation retains pro-audio interests formerly held by VMB, which is probably best-known globally for its towerlift manufacturing business. “The split has given Lynx control of all audio. This is something that I personally have wanted for a long time,” confirms Lynx sales director Ben Sinclair, who is also a part-owner of the new company alongside product director Jesus Fuentes. “Because VMB is so well-known for manufacturing lifts it has always been difficult trying to demonstrate how we could also manufacture professional audio. Now, Lynx is dedicated 100% to the design and production of professional sound equipment.” Bolstered by its own dedicated sales, marketing and R&D personnel, Lynx is preparing to launch a new line array product, LX-V12, and triple 18” cardioid sub, LX-318HC, at Prolight+Sound this month. “We have a great portfolio and are introducing many new products this year, so we are very excited at the moment and are receiving some great feedback,” Sinclair tells PSNE. “The product deserves to be a lot better known than it is and I hope that before long the new branding will start to create more awareness and get more people listening to our equipment."

The new website provides more extensive information on products and deals, and is the latest initiative from EAV Pro Audio, which has been providing audio e-commerce, mail order and purchaser pick-up services since 2001.
