Konsert Teknik has joined the ranks of international hire companies stocking a JBL VTX line array system as their frontline PA. Based in Uppsala, Sweden and run by Mikael “Wibban” Viberg, Konsert Teknik has invested in a 32-enclosure V25 rig and four VTX S28 subs as well as 60 Crown I-Tech 12000 HD amplifiers. The line array was supplied by Septon AB, Harman Professional’s Swedish distributor. “It was essential to have the best PA system to support the acts that pass through the venues and stages of [Stockholm amusement park] Gröna Lund and Furuvik [just outside Gävle] during the summer season,” said Viberg. “Both are major concert sites and Konsert Teknik aims to break the system down into two separate rigs, which will service the long seasons in both of these locations. It was at Harman’s Business and Technology Conference in January 2012 where Viberg was first introduced the VTX system. At the time, he was looking to build on his Vertec VT4889, VT4887 and VT4886 loudspeakers. The new D2 dual compression drivers prompted the purchase of the VTX. “I expect to see VTX starting to appear on riders very soon — judging from the positive reactions we have already received from many technicians,” he said. www.jblpro.comwww.konsertteknik.se
