The staged live audio product event will take place from October 22-24 during the annual LDI show in Las Vegas, reports David Davies. Returning after a two-year gap, ETLive will be hosted in parking lot Silver 1, directly in front of the Las Vegas Convention Center (Hall C).
Designed to enable the presentation of live audio products in a real-world concert staged setting, ETLive 2010 will feature two types of demonstration formats. The first will present up to six stages of live performance demos in a ’round robin’ format. The other – new for this year – is a seventh stage showcasing compact loudspeaker solutions. Numerous loudspeaker manufacturers will hang their single line array compact solution stacks and present the same source music through their systems.
In addition to the outdoor event, ETLive will incorporate seminars covering subjects including mixing and monitor console techniques, FOH console design, loudspeaker systems, rigging techniques, SMAART seminars and more.
ETLive project manager Jeffrey Turner told PSN-e: “ETLive is a one-of-a-kind event providing the listener and potential buyer of PA systems [with] a unique opportunity to critique multiple sound systems for multiple applications by some of the most prestigious pro-audio manufacturers in a non-restricted, non-reflective outdoor listening environment.”
