What is it? A supercardioid vocal microphone suitable for sound reinforcement applications. Details Said to offer "extraordinary natural" sound, high separation from nearby sources and extreme sound level handling capabilities, the d:facto ll is supercardioid design intended for stage vocal use - as well recording applications. A robust, three-stage pop protection grid built into the microphone limits unwanted vocal noise while its “superbly linear” frequency and phase characteristics (both on- and off-axis) and impressive definition and accuracy are said to offer “effortless” vocal reproduction. The flexibility of the d:facto II’s adapter system makes it suitable for use with a wired DPA handle or a range of professional wireless systems with no loss in the sound quality. Frequency response is quoted at 100Hz - 16kHz (+/-2dB) with a soft 3dB boost at 12kHz and a permanent 3rd order, 3dB low-frequency cut at 80Hz. Offering a S/N ratio of 75dB (A-weighted) and maximum SPL (before clipping) of 120dB, the d:facto ll operates on 48V phantom power and is finished in matt black. And another thing… The d:facto II can be incorporated into most popular wireless systems such as Sony, Lectrosonics, Shure, Wisycom and Sennheiser.
