As of ISE 2019, Bose Professional has introduced new ArenaMatch array loudspeakers, ArenaMatch Utility loudspeakers (both for outdoor installations), and new DesignMax series, as part of an expansion of its Business Music Systems portfolio.

Adam Shulman, market category lead at Bose Pro, commented: “We listened to our partners, and every aspect of our new solutions has been designed directly from their feedback. These products were engineered to better meet the needs of a wide range of installation projects – from small to large, simple to complex. They reflect our latest advancements in terms of audio technology and design aesthetics, while also focusing on our customers’ everyday needs with greater ease of design, configuration, and installation.”

ArenaMatch loudspeakers:

ArenaMatch arrays incorporate DeltaQ technology – which features an IP55 weather rating – to bring improved sound quality, consistency, vocal clarity, and flexibility to outdoor installations, such as sports stadiums, arenas, and outdoor entertainment centres.

DeltaQ array technology allows directivity, or “Q,” to vary in each module to more precisely match coverage to audience area. With nine coverage patterns available, designers can choose from modules with 10-, 20- or 40-degree vertical coverage and easily swap between 60-, 80- or 100-degree horizontal waveguides — even in already-assembled arrays — to adjust horizontal coverage and create asymmetrical patterns where needed. By reducing the number of modules required, ArenaMatch loudspeakers can help improve sight lines, reduce array weight, and lower overall system costs compared to some conventional arrays.

ArenaMatch offers a turnkey solution for entire outdoor sound systems. Designers can employ 40-degree ArenaMatch array modules for point-source applications and 10-, 20- and 40-degree modules for line arrays, all with the same transducers for consistent tonal balance. Combining ArenaMatch DeltaQ loudspeakers with ArenaMatch Utility loudspeakers can make equalising the system easier for the user. ArenaMatch loudspeakers also interface perfectly with Bose Pro PowerMatch amplifiers, ControlSpace DSPs and ControlSpace Designer software (as well as Dante connectivity), which simplifies setup and monitoring, saving users time with loudspeaker presets for EQ, limiter and crossover settings.

For outdoor sports complexes, ArenaMatch loudspeakers provide clean audio for the entire spectator area, such as delivering announcements and play-by-play calls clearly. Each module includes a 14-inch neodymium woofer and six Bose Pro EMB2S titanium-diaphragm neodymium compression drivers. Weather-resistant features include a three-layer stainless steel grille, water-resistant woofer cone coating, industrial polyurethane exterior coating, and a molded input cover.

All ArenaMatch models ship standard with bi-amp capability, a passive crossover, and 70/100V transformer inputs, so they’re adaptable to a variety of configurations. They also include M12 threaded inserts with internal steel link bars for use with Bose Pro accessory mounting hardware or custom array frames.

ArenaMatch Utility loudspeakers:

Built for zone-fill coverage or high-SPL foreground music, four new Bose Pro ArenaMatch Utility loudspeakers have been designed, featuring similar tonal balance to ArenaMatch array modules, but in compact designs. They also have the same EMB2S compression driver and IP55 weather rating as ArenaMatch arrays.

They can be used for zone-fill coverage in sports stadiums, arenas, and outdoor entertainment centres, and can provide intelligible, high-level sound in any outdoor area, from niche venues such as breweries and fairgrounds to larger settings like resorts and outdoor shopping centres.

ArenaMatch Utility speakers provide wide, even coverage via a constant-directivity high-frequency horn, which can be rotated for horizontal or vertical installation. They can perform in the most demanding applications with the largest model (AMU208) featuring 70 Hz – 16 kHz frequency response and 126 dB maximum peak SPL, and with all models supporting the lowest vocal range.

DesignMax loudspeakers:

Bose Pro has launched DesignMax loudspeakers, a wide range of loudspeakers that provide for the commercial space. With ten loudspeakers and two subwoofers to choose from — including ceiling-mounted, surface-mounted, and outdoor-rated options — users can create tailored DesignMax systems for any sized application.

DesignMax loudspeakers range from 2-inch low-profile models to 8-inch high-SPL compression-driver loudspeakers, with the option of enabling Bose EQ voicings on select Bose digital sound processors and smart amplifiers, or SmartBass processing, to enhance sound. On select models, the Dispersion Alignment system provides a wide and consistent off-axis response.

The surface-mounted DesignMax series feature hidden U-brackets and the design holds the loudspeaker close to the wall. For installers, its QuickHold mounting mechanisms makes installation easier: for surface-mounted models, the loudspeaker snaps into the QuickHold U-bracket. Installers can adjust the pitch and lock the QuickHold levers to set the loudspeaker in place, without using tools. For ceiling-mounted models, installers can simply push the loudspeaker into the ceiling opening.

All models include Euroblock connectors; ceiling-mounted models include plenum-rated backcans, tile-bridges, and front-access audio wiring.
