What is it?A range of small-format USB mixers featuring Klark Teknik FX and built-in wireless mic technology.DetailsWith configurations ranging from five to 24 inputs, Q Series mixers incorporate XENYX ultra-low noise, high-headroom microphone preamps, four subgroups with separate outputs for added routing flexibility and four multi-functional stereo aux returns with flexible routing. The four aux sends (per channel) are split between two pre/post-fade sends, switchable for monitoring/FX applications and two post-fade sends for internal FX – or as external sends. Behringer describe the mixers’ EQ characteristics as “neo-classic British”, offering gentle or drastic sound shaping for any input signal.Selected models in the range feature switchable phantom power plus dedicated wireless-ready integration – primarily for use with Behringer’s impending ULM Series digital wireless microphones. Onboard compressors offer ‘one-knob’ functionality in conjunction with control LEDs while the built-in Klark Teknik FX processor features an LCD display, tap function and user-parameter settings. All channels include clip LEDs, mute, main mix and subgroup routing switches plus solo and PFL functions. Headphones outputs are fed from a multi-input matrix with record inputs assignable to main mix or control room/headphone outputs. And another thing… Behringer is making available a free library of Mac and PC recording and editing software for use with the Q Series.
