What is it?A micro-earset with omnidirectional condenser microphone. DetailsWith an ergonomically moulded earpiece and unobtrusive 1” boom, the BP893 micro-earset is designed to offer inconspicuous placement plus “clear, natural vocal pickup”. Its lightweight, low-profile design makes it ideal for use in theatrical performances and similar live events. The BP893 can be worn on either the left or right ear with the ear loop positioned around the back and the boom adjusted to follow the contour of the face. A cable clip is provided for strain relief, allowing the microphone to remain securely in place without the weight of the cable pulling on the headset. The BP893’s headworn condenser microphone offers an omnidirectional polar pattern and audio reproduction said to be similar to that of a high-quality Lavalier model. It requires 11V to 52V phantom power and includes a 1.4m permanently-attached miniature cable. Its free end connects to the provided AT8539 power module via a locking 4-pin connector which is also compatible with all Audio-Technica UniPak body-pack wireless transmitters. The power module incorporates a 3-pin XLRM-type output connector plus a recessed switch offering a choice of flat response or low-frequency roll-off (via integral 80Hz high-pass UniSteep filter) to help control undesired ambient noise.
