DetailsThe AT2031 is condenser microphone suitable for live applications and offering a directional cardioid polar response to help isolate the sound source from its environment. Its permanently polarised element has an extended 20Hz – 20kHz frequency response with a slight rise in the high-frequency range to deliver a more detailed sound. With a signal-to-noise ratio of 77dB (1kHz at 1Pa), 124dB dynamic range and low self noise, the mic is suited for use with digital equipment and capable of handling SPLs up to 141dB (1kHz at 1% THD). The AT2031 includes a switchable 150Hz 6db/octave high-pass filter to help tailor its response to a broad range of instruments including violin, cello, acoustic guitar and piano and requires 48V phantom powering. Output is balanced, low-impedance via 3-pin XLRM type connector. The rugged, tubular steel housing measures 143mm long by 21mm diameter and weighs 134gm. The AT2031 is supplied with an AT8405a stand clamp, windscreen and soft protective pouch.
