UK-based Aspen Media intends the site to serve as a “one-stop shop” for MADI interfacing, conversion and routing products. DirectOut Technologies (which has just launched a new MADI solution – read more here http://www.prosoundnewseurope.com/main-content/full/directout-announces-madi-headphone-amp), RME, Stagetec, Chromatec and 4HM are among the brands featured on the latest launch from Aspen Media, which is located in Wingrave, near Aylesbury.

Facilitating the transmission of up to 64 channels of audio via a single fibre or coaxial cable, MADI has long been a popular choice in the broadcast market, but is now experienced an increased rate of adoption in live and broadcast options. As can be seen from the cover story of September’s Pro Sound News Europe, SSL, Lawo and Roland are among the manufacturers to have brought new MADI solutions to market in recent months.

Chris Collings, Aspen Media’s director, commented: “The site will be the first in a series of specialist websites and has been designed to be a one-stop-shop for MADI interfacing, conversion and routing products. Stagetec uses MADI extensively for connecting its systems to third party equipment so over the years we’ve gained an excellent understanding of the format by being the UK distributor for its routers and consoles.”
