What is it?A combined digital processor and audio amplifier available in four- and eight-channel versions, delivering 125W and 250W per channel, respectively. DetailsSaid to require only the addition of an input source and a speaker system, Pêma is capable of handling the sound for small- to mid-sized systems. It merges Ashly’s open-architecture DSP functionality with a high-performance amplifier in a 2U rack cabinet designed to occupy less space than discrete components and improve energy efficiency.
Full 96kHz performance is available from Pêma’s 32-bit SHARC processors which, in addition to DSP algorithms such as ambient noise compensation, advanced automatic feedback suppression, automatic mixing, filtering, EQ, delay etc, offer control of amplifier functionality. This includes bridge-mode operation, HPF settings for constant voltage system networks, stereo-linking of channel pairs, Mic/Line/Tel-Page functions on channel 1, full control of ducking priorities and full-range remote gain control capability. Each model includes eight balanced input channels - software selectable for mic or line levels – and eight pairs of summed-mono RCA connectors optimized for consumer line level devices. Eight preamp auxiliary outputs allow integrators to route signals from the matrix mixer to anywhere in the system and both CobraNet and EtherSound digital I/Os are fully supported. Setting up is carried out using standard 10/100 Ethernet protocol and Ashly’s Protea NE Software on a PC platform.
