ICON D-Command consoles and Pro Tools HD systems have been installed into both suites at the Portland Mews sound design and post production facility, which are connected by a fully isolated vocal booth; and the studio’s three existing ICON D-Control rooms have been upgraded to accommodate Pro Tools 8. The new rooms have already been put to the test during Scamble’s day-to-day activities which span gaming audio projects, pop promos, broadcast post and TV & radio commercials. But although state-of-the-art, the reasoning behind the installation is to deliver the client value for money, according to Scramble’s marketing director Donna Head. “The rooms are aimed at the budget conscious client,” Head insists, “providing the same level of service that Scramble is known for, but at a far lower rate.” White Mark’s long-term working relationship with Scramble secured the recent contract; and Scramble’s technical director John Rawlings says the results are just what they were looking for. “We wanted the new suites to have the same acoustic properties as our existing rooms, so from our point of view White Mark was the only choice.” explains Rawlings. “We’re really pleased with the end result; White Mark incorporated our ideas into the design and then oversaw all of the technical installation. They also came in on time and on budget, which is always an important consideration.” www.whitemark.comwww.scramble.co.uk
