It’s a good start to the year for Goldcrest Post London, having been nominated for BAFTA and CAS Awards for sound mixing and ADR on Les Misérables and Skyfall last week. The company said it is ‘especially honoured’ by an Academy Award nomination for re-recording mixer Mark Paterson (pictured) for sound mixing on Les Misérables. Paterson joined Goldcrest after graduating from SAE institute, beginning his career under the guidance of Paul Carr, before establishing himself in both recording and mixing. “I am delighted that Mark has received this recognition for his skills and dedication,” said Keith Williams, CEO for Goldcrest Post. “We’d also like to congratulate our good friend Andy Nelson at FOX for his nominations on Les Misérables and Lincoln and also on his work on Pirates! A Band of Misfits which he mixed with Mark Paterson and Adrian Rhodes at Goldcrest. It’s a tremendous achievement for Mark and everyone at Goldcrest.” www.goldcrestpost.co.uk
