SSE: Two big sales in two weeks

May has already been a good month for SSE Sales, having sold two consoles – a Soundcraft Vi6 and Midas PRO6 – in two weeks.

May has seen a good couple of weeks of sales for SSE so far, having delivered a Soundcraft Vi6 console, and a complete Midas PRO6 package within 14 days of each other. MAC Sound purchased the Soundcraft desk, after a two-week trial of SSE’s hire stock. MAC Sound’s managing director, Clement Rawling was interested in a test-run following a training session at SSE, and put the console through its paces for a stage production of West Side Story in February. The newly purchased Soundcraft Vi6 has a total of 96 input channels via one 64/32 stagebox, plus one compact 32/8 stagebox. It is currently on tour until July with a production of Leonard Bernstein‘s musical comedy, Wonderful Town, for which Rawling is the sound designer. Prior to the Soundcraft sale, long-term Midas user Scalable Sound Systems purchased a complete Midas PRO6 package comprising the PRO6 console, a Klark Teknik DN9650 network bridge and Sigma Fabrications flightcases. The Cirencester-based sound solutions provider and dry hire company utilises the IT expertise of its sister company, Scale Abilities, in an effort to become, according to their website, “the UK’s number one rental house for Midas digital consoles.” “The seamless integration of audio, networking, application development and even database technologies that we can offer is great for our clients. We are strong believers in the Midas approach to digital audio networking and we love the way these consoles sound,” said Scalable founder James Morle (pictured). “It has been very positive experience working with SSE on this purchase, they have been very supportive and reassuringly transparent.”
