Sneak a Peek at Funky Junk’s Demo Week

Funky Junk will host ‘Sneak a Peek Demo Week’ at its new North London shop to introduce itself to the pro audio community

‘Sneak a Peek Demo Week’ will run for five days starting at 10am on March 1st at the new Funky Junk shop on Hornsey Road in conjunction with Audient, Briscati, RME, Focal, and SPL, all of which will be hosting discussions and demos as well as showcasing products. The event will be open to the public and all visitors will also be entered into a prize draw where they can win a pro audio goody-bag worth more than £1,000. Audient’s new ASP2802 console and RME’s Fireface UFX will be on show, as well as various outboard by SPL and Briscati, and some Focal monitors. “We are not running it as a seminar; the idea is that people can come into the shop and see all this gear working together as an active live demo of a studio environment,” says Funky Junk’s Marc Dolley, who was behind the demo week concept. “The Audient ASP2802 can link to DAW, and has auxiliaries and inserts, so it’s like a cross between a controller and an analogue desk – therefore it can control the RME plug-ins and also bring in the Briscati outboard and SPL dynamics.” Stephen Flower designed all of the control aspects of the Audient ASP2802 and will be demonstrating its features on March 2nd; and representatives from RME, SPL and SCV will also be on hand throughout the week to discuss their respective products.
