What is it?A personal in-ear monitor system with a networkable, dual-channel transmitter and a diversity bodypack receiver. DetailsThe PSM 1000’s enhanced digital stereo encoder is said to provide a wider stereo field with exceptional separation, enhancing audio detail and clarity. It offers up to 80MHz tuning bandwidth for highest RF spectrum flexibility plus “precision” front-end filtering designed to significantly reduce RF interference, dropouts and audible artefacts. The transmitter’s enhanced linearity significantly reduces frequency intermodulation and allows more compatible channels per frequency range, while the auto RF gain control prevents signal distortion due to RF overload before it can affect performance. The system’s CueMode allows monitoring of different stage mixes and storing of up to 20 separate channels on one bodypack. The design also includes a front-panel RF mute switch which can be used to enable or disable RF transmission. The PSM 1000 bodypack receiver scans the full range and syncs scan data to the transmitter which can assign compatible frequencies to additional transmitters over the network or scan data to Wireless Workbench. MixMode technology allows the bodypack user to balance the level of two separate channels while simultaneously listening to both signals in both ears. An LCD menu with grouped menu items forms part of the intuitive user interface and there’s a visual display of scan plotting. Shure network connectivity is accessible through an Ethernet port and the design offers advanced compatible frequency coordination to simplify setup for high channel counts. The full rack-size, dual-channel transmitter is housed in a rugged, professional “touring grade” chassis with internal power supply and IEC in/out ports for easy power chaining in the rack.
