The May 2015 issue of PSNEurope is now available to read online or download as a PDF.

The second issue of the new-look magazine is packed to the gills with news from Frankfurt in the form of our first Prolight + Sound/Musikmesse review – including the confirmation from Meyer Sound that it sold its first LEOPARD linear sound reinforcement systems – and our report from the 10th Live Entertainment Awards, on the eve of the show, which saw a showcase of EAW’s latest Adaptive Performance high-end touring rig. Plus, continuing the Teutonic theme, the always-inquisitive Phil Ward takes a peek beneath the surface of pro audio in German broadcast in our first feature.

Also celebrating its 10th birthday this month is UK distributor Amber Sound, whose founder, Autograph Sales and Micron alumni Graham Paddon, reveals his top five highlights of the past decade on p54 – while the city of Antwerp is ringing in 40 years since the founding of its tram system with a challenging live broadcast from – you guessed it – a tram, on p29.

Filling The Strategic Position this month is AES president Andres Mayo, who reveals his focus on Europe as the society prepares for this month’s convention in Warsaw, while elsewhere in interview-land Audio-Technica’s training man (and ex-cruise ship sound engineer) Rodrigo Thomaz regales Dave Robinson with tales of debauchery on the seven seas in our back page interview.

Elsewhere, the inimitable Erica Basnicki tackles the ultra-competitive world of driver and component manufacturing in feature #2, Jon Chapple finds out what happened to Abbey Road’s much-hyped Live Here Now instant music service and, in our cover story, Dave Robinson falls in love with both Beverley Knight and sound designer Gareth Owen at hit West End musical Memphis.
