Version 1.7 of PreSonus’ Universal Control software will be available to download as a free update on 19 November. The latest release will include a ‘significant expansion’ of Rational Acoustics’ Smaart Measurement Technology, added to Universal Control in version 1.6, which comes integrated into the Virtual StudioLive section of the software. Initially StudioLive owners had access to an RTA and spectrograph. With version 1.7, StudioLive 24.4.2 and 16.4.2 users gain three Smaart system-check tools: Room Analysis Wizard, System Delay Wizard and System Output Check Wizard. Due to a difference in architecture, the additional capabilities are not available for the StudioLive 16.0.2.
