Marking a 9% increase on 2010, a total of 1956 people (2457 including exhibitors) attended this year’s edition of PLASA Focus: Leeds, which took place at the Royal Armouries Museum on 19/20 April.
The show played host to a number of UK product launches and showcases, including: the Wave 28 all-in-one modular PA from Adam Hall; new stage monitors from db Technologies, Nexo and Ohm; Neutrik’s new OpticalCON fibre optic connectors; the new VTX amplifier range from Cloud; Proel’s new NET loudspeakers; Allen & Heath’s iLive MixPad iPad app; Soundcraft’s new Si compact digital mixing consoles; and a number of new products from Martin Pro.
The extensive seminar programme – which included a session by Sennheiser’s Alan March on the implications for PMSE of spectrum reallocation – was also well-attended.
Organiser PLASA Events says that a substantial number of exhibitors have already signed up for next year’s event, which will take place at The Royal Armouries in Leeds on 17 and 18 April.
